We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. This is a full-time position supporting the Hazardous Test Engineering Branch in the WSTF Materials & Components Laboratories Office.

This position involves working within a team will provide engineering support to the Composite Pressure Vessel Group in the following areas
- Generating work authorizing documents and ensuring conformance to customer requirements.
- Coordination of daily/weekly test workload
- Directing technician workforce in the safe execution of build-up and testing.
- Interfacing with multiple customers throughout the test process.
- Interfacing with the WSTF machine shop to effectively coordinate the fabrication of components.
- impact, cycle/burst, compatibility, and sustained load stress rupture testing of composite pressure vessels
- design of hydraulic and pneumatic test systems
- application and interpretation of various non-destructive evaluation and test methods
- Leading pre-test meetings with the test team and participating in group collaborations.
- Providing safety oversight and training for technicians and engineers.
- Making recommendations to improve process efficiencies based on analysis of data and trends.
- Performing routine engineering tasks as required to ensure the continued operation of the laboratory and support equipment.
- This position may involve cross-training and utilization in other areas within the WSTF Materials & Components Laboratories Office.
