What are the responsibilities and job description for the Premium Audit Support Specialist position at SIF?

We are currently seeking a Premium Audit Support Specialist to join our team! This position will perform support activities for the Audit department as well as process financial transactions for premium billing.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Scheduling appointments for assigned Auditors.
- Ensuring completed field audits are produced in a clear and concise manner.
- Researching policy revisions to determine the accuracy of reported payroll.
- Reviewing workers compensation payroll reports and premium audits.
- Responding to customer inquiries regarding premium audits.
Your background should include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting (or a related discipline), or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum 1 year of data entry experience working with a billing, payroll or other computerized record keeping system.
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation insurance concepts, including familiarity with the NCCI Basic Manual and Idaho statutes, a plus.
- Ability to learn and explain company policies and procedures to independently solve problems with periodic direction/supervision.
- Ability to utilize company computer systems to research complex customer issues.
- Proficiency in using desktop applications, e.g., Microsoft Office products, to generate emails, forms/letters, reports, and presentations as well as search and download information from the internet.
- Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations involving decimals, fractions, and percentages.
- Capability of producing grammatically correct reports in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills.
- Strong time management capabilities with ability to independently complete work assignments within specified timeframes.
