Mission of the Position:

The mission of the quality inspector is to embody the guardian of excellence within our manufacturing process, meticulously scrutinizing every printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and ensuring that each component and final product not only meets but exceeds the stringent standards set forth by IPC-A-610. Through their expert visual inspections and commitment to quality control, the Quality Inspector is instrumental in upholding our reputation for superior product reliability and customer trust. By vigilantly identifying and addressing any deviations from quality standards, they play a pivotal role in the continuous pursuit of perfection, ensuring that every product that leaves our facility is a testament to our dedication to excellence & quality.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Visual Inspection: Perform detailed visual inspections of PCBA’s or PCB’S to identify any defects or any nonconformities according to the IPC-A-610 Standard. As well as any internal Inspection Instructions Criteria and or Internal Test Procedures.

Monitor and Inspect: Circuit board assemblies manufactured in the SMT area utilizing Manual Visual Inspection Methods, Microscope, and any future Automatic Optical (AOI) equipment to ensure product quality and over functionality and reliability.

Quality Control Checks: Be willing to conduct random “Receiving Inspection”, “First Piece”, “In-process Inspection” and “Final Inspection” when required. Along with the willingness to conduct 100% visual inspection when defects occur.

Documentation and Reporting: Document inspection results accurately including the identification of defects and the actions taken to address them. Prepare reports on inspection activities, quality issues and process improvements.

Collaboration with Production Teams: Works closely with production teams to communicate quality issues and suggest recommendations for corrective actions. Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance product quality.

Training and Compliance: Being willing to participate in IPC-A-610 CS (Employer provided Training) and ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant quality standards and regulations. Stay updated on best practices in PCB assembly and inspection.

Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all inspection tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated to provide accurate measurements and assemblies.

Being willing to conduct or participate in dimensional part layout of PCB circuit boards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Previous experience in quality inspection, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.

· Strong Organizational skills; attention to detail and excellent visual acuity.

· Familiarity with PCB assembly processes and electronic components.

· Ability to interpret assembly processes and electronic components.

· Good communication and teamwork skills,

· Basic to Strong computer skills for documentation and report generation.

· Collect and Document Inspection Results by Completing reports.

· Willingness to work on day shift and flexible hours as required by production schedules.

· Strong organizations skills and attention to detail.

· Be able to work as a team and maintain good attendance within a team atmosphere.

· Ability to stand and or sit for extended periods.

· Willingness to undergo IPC-A-610 training (provided by the employer) and commitment to continuous learning.

· Must be able to follow Quality Supervisor and Quality Management directions for daily successful daily operations.

· The inspector will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating products throughout the circuit board processing.

· Read, understand, and interpret B.O.M.’s, drawings, and schematics is preferred or being willing to be trained in these tasks.

· Familiar with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters etc.

· Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in SMT Quality Assurance Control/Inspection process (PCBA).

· Experience in component ID, verification of polarity, solder joint inspection, missing parts, part value verification, etc.

· Experience using microscopes and magnifiers for inspection.

· Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

· Support maintenance activities of ITAF 16949:2016 QMS and company Business Operating System on production floor. (BOS) (Plex)

Education and/or Experience:

· Previous experience in an electronic manufacturing environment, and or Automotive Quality Assurance preferred.

· High School Diploma and or College Degree

Physical Demands:

Lift a minimum of 30 lbs. Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and sitting required.

Good visual acuity and perception.

Manufacturing environment, Warehouse, Assembly Operations
