WHAT WE NEED:
Field Service Project Manager
The project manager will manage reliability improvement and maintenance projects for a range of clients on various turbomachinery-based projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in rotating equipment and be able to lead our team of experts and subcontractors effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning:
- Coordinating with Clients to define the project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
- Coordinating with internal resources and subcontractors to develop project manpower, timelines, and schedules.
- Developing proposal documentation for submittal to client.
- Management and Leadership:
- Managing and leading various resources, including veteran subject matter experts and field electrical and mechanical labor crews.
- Assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Providing guidance and direction throughout the project.
- Managing project resources, including budgets and materials.
- Ensuring proper utilization of technical and subcontractor resources.
- Tracking and ensuring project labor and expenses are documented properly and are up to date.
- Identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Communication:
- Communicating project status, updates, and progress to internal and external teams.
- Managing expectations and resolving issues with clients, internal resources, and subcontractors.
- Facilitating meetings, presentations, and status reports.
- Project Execution:
- Overseeing day-to-day project tasks and activities.
- Ensuring the project stays on schedule and on budget.
- Monitoring and adjusting project scope, as needed.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensuring deliverables are met, and proper resources have performed checking activities.
- Project Documentation:
- Maintaining detailed correspondence, meeting minutes, action items, deviation logs, risk registers, and reporting.
- Ensuring project documents are up to date and accessible to internal and external resources.
WHO WE NEED:
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related field experience) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management supporting industrial equipment outages, rotating equipment, maintenance, or reliability
- Technical knowledge of rotating equipment, including turbines, compressors, pumps, motors, and generators.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) are a plus.
- OEM background is a plus.
