POSITION SUMMARY

Lead overall assigned plant operation to ensure the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with the company’s quality standards and customer delivery requirements; oversee operations of plant production; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Direct the planning, development, and administration of assigned plant operation to include production operations, manufacturing activities, operational schedules maintenance, logistics, industrial engineering, purchasing quality, and financial
  • Direct the administration and maintenance of plant policies and practices
  • Oversee shift production schedules; review production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delay
  • Lead and oversees plant programs including preventative maintenance, operational efficiency of equipment, capital expenditures, security, quality and food safety; provide recommends to improve the efficiency
  • Develop, lead and implement action plan to meet performance objectives and cost effective systems goals; monitor KPIs, operating expenditures, personnel and wages
  • Guide production team to resolve work related problems; provide recommendations
  • Partner and develop relationships with key stakeholders as it relates to plant operations; obtain and review proposals; negotiate contracts including utility rates and adherence to regulations (i.e wastewater discharge); makes recommendations for selection
  • Manage and supervise direct reports to include talent attraction and retention training, performance management evaluation, development and coaching personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or four (4) years’ work-related experience
  • Seven (7) years of manufacturing experience
  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience

License/Certifications

  • N/A

Preferred Qualifications

  • SQF certification
  • HACCP certification
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Office and plant environment with exposure to noise, equipment and machinery
  • Facility temperature varies between 32 and 95 degrees, may occasionally exceed 95 degrees

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Working hours will be spent in the plant or office environment
  • Safety gear, such as goggles, gloves, and helmets should be worn on a regular basis
