Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our injection molding manufacturing team in Texas. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an injection molding facility, with a strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting molding machines, thermolators, robots, plumbing, electrical systems, and all other ancillary equipment typical of an injection molding production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines, including thermolators, robots, and other related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues within the production environment, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance schedules on all equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure machines are running efficiently and meeting production goals.
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and electrical components as required within the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent on each task.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to junior maintenance staff as needed.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies related to injection molding maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within an injection molding facility.
- Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, thermolators, robots, and ancillary equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with plumbing and electrical systems in an industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.
- Capability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
