Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Fort Worth, Texas

Department: Molding

Reports To: Molding Manager


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our injection molding manufacturing team in Texas. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an injection molding facility, with a strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting molding machines, thermolators, robots, plumbing, electrical systems, and all other ancillary equipment typical of an injection molding production environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines, including thermolators, robots, and other related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues within the production environment, implementing timely and effective solutions.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance schedules on all equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure machines are running efficiently and meeting production goals.
  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and electrical components as required within the facility.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent on each task.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior maintenance staff as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies related to injection molding maintenance.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within an injection molding facility.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, thermolators, robots, and ancillary equipment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with plumbing and electrical systems in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.


Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.
  • Capability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
