Compensation: $90K - $100K, based on experience
Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Position Summary:
The Director of Payroll reports to the VP of Accounting and provides leadership to the department and oversees all the payroll functions for our multi-state, multi-location payroll operations. It is a highly visible role as your team is responsible for guaranteeing disbursement of multiple pay cycles and EINs which are processed concurrently. These functions include those which impact the payroll services provided to franchise owners as well as Home Office.

Roles:
- Oversee Payroll Department by providing guidance and direction for the team while planning for future growth. Along with the Payroll Managers – 1) Identify and manage process improvements and efficiencies for key workflows; 2) Responsible for ensuring Franchise Payroll is completed accurately and timely; 3) Guide or lead implementation of process changes, process improvements and best practices to drive operational excellence.
- Provide direction, needed training and setting of expectations for the Payroll Managers, in order to create a learning and team-building based environment. Ensure key processes are documented and the team is adequately trained.
- Work with key vendors to ensure we have the proper tools needed to provide payroll services to the Franchise Owners. Identify and implement process efficiencies with the vendors.
- Timely initial set up of new Franchise Owners. Also work with new and existing Franchise Owners and internal contacts to effectively transition payroll when a franchise is terminated.
- Serve as a resource to Franchise Owners looking for guidance and support with the payroll process.

Qualifications/Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s Degree or experience equivalent
- 7-10 years of payroll experience with at least 5 years of leadership experience
- Previous experience managing payroll for a large multi-state organization of 3,000 employees
- Proven track record of process improvements and managing external vendor partners
- Extensive knowledge of payroll tax laws and payroll best practices
- Prior experience with ADP strongly preferred
- Willing to contribute to a “Championship Culture” of teamwork, passion, and collaboration

Environmental/Working Conditions:
Normal office environment. Occasional overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
