SCOPE OF ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Revenue Cycle, the Specialist, Revenue Cycle Site will be a key resource in supporting the revenue cycle components of the EPIC implementation. The Specialist, Revenue Cycle Site will be successful in their role by supporting end-users in provider master file maintenance, billing claims testing, and enhancements to the existing revenue cycle processes. You will be responsible for providing new and current employees training and support around the revenue cycle components of Epic serving as a subject matter expert, particularly in the Resolute Billing components. You will help contribute to a positive learning environment that encourages employee engagement in role-specific access.

HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED _________________________________________________________

  • Create outstanding Revenue Cycle training materials and plans for new process/functionalities; update and maintain the accuracy of EHR training materials as clinical processes and system features change.
  • Create, submit JIRA’s to OCHIN for system configuration issues or errors on behalf of the Revenue Cycle Department.
  • Maintain Epic Provider Build worksheet to work collaboratively with EHR Site Specialist to create SER record.
  • Update and maintain Signature Health fee schedules.
  • Test and communicate Revenue Cycle updates and enhancements, develop and document new workflows, prepare training materials, and work on special projects as requested by the Revenue Cycle leadership team.
  • Provide formal and informal implementation guidance, integration, and change management support tasks in a dynamic and interpersonal setting to support functional users.
  • Be someone that new and current employees can easily collaborate with when providing Epic Hyperspace training.
  • Take initiative and coordinate implementation and role-specific training of new hyperspace functionality and upgrades as related to administrative and billing processes.
  • Contribute to a friendly and professional work environment when providing role-based training to end-users.
  • Communicate system changes and outages when appropriate to Signature Health staff.
  • Encourage engagement when participating in meetings at Signature Health and contribute to departmental and organizational decision-making through active participation.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner when attending appropriate vendor training and demonstrate competency (ex. the OCHIN Site Specialist Training) for Epic support staff.
  • Partner with IT staff and OCHIN to troubleshoot technical issues that arise.
  • Respond to internal EHR Help Desk tickets around Provider Master File updates or billing errors in a timely manner, following through to ensure an adequate resolution of the problem.
  • Comply with all agency policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all aspects of HIPAA, promoting patient confidentiality and the right to privacy.
  • May be required to perform remote services as determined by Signature Health.
  • Adherence and completion of compliance training provided by Signature Health.
  • Responsible for and completing all productivity/documentation requirements.
  • Participate in all assigned staff meetings and staff development programs.
  • Demonstrate appropriate attendance and punctuality in adherence to Signature Health policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE _________________________________________________________

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 3 years’ experience working with an EHR system required; EPIC experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous demonstrated experience working with employees hands-on, coaching, and training using different tactics.
  • Strong presentation skills, including the ability to structure and present technical information in a logical sequence using clear, understandable terminology and examples.
  • Experience with database reporting tools.
  • Comfortable collaborating with all functional business groups; specifically IT as it relates to internal change control processes.
  • Familiar with behavioral health or physical health services and operations.

WORKING CONDITIONS _________________________________________________________

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office/clinical work environment.
  • While hours of operation are generally standard, flexibility to work evenings and extended hours may be required.
  • Requires periods of sitting, standing, telephone, and computer work.
  • Hearing: adequate to hear clients or patients in person, over the telephone or through telehealth technology.
  • Speaking: adequate to speak to clients or patients in person, over the telephone or through telehealth technology.
  • Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • Physical effort required: occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 15 pounds, unassisted.
  • Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens while performing job duties.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular workday.
  • Sufficient dexterity to operate a PC and other office equipment.
