POSITION DESCRIPTION: Perform a wide variety of duties within the Converting Department to include the operation of all converting, packing equipment, powered industrial material movement equipment, able to achieve and exceed expected productivity goals, cross train within the department, the packaging of a variety of manufactured computer design signage rolls, and sheet products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and safe work environment, follow prescribe safety regulations.
- Perform related duties as required by supervisor
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Able to collect, organize and/or process information according to standard operating procedures.
- Excellent communications skills
- Problem Solving Skills – adapting, existing methods, identifying and implementing improved methods and procedures.
- High School level math skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Maintain the production pace of other team members
- Ability to move for assignment or line to line with no problems
- Required to stand for long periods of time, and involve with repetitive motions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of rolls and cartons.
Work Experience/Education
Prior Manufacturing experience desired. High School diploma or equivalent minimum required
