Job Description
Credit: Evaluate customers in accordance with Dun & Bradstreet Analytics, determine appropriate credit limit based on revenue exposure. Manage the credit process pertaining to business cycles to ensure the appropriate credit limit is assigned as well as adjusted based on certain projects. Respond to any credit background checks on our existing customers.
New Accounts: Establish credit limits for new customers using Dun & Bradstreet. Retrieve and analyze Dun & Bradstreet reports. Review and process any Trade or Bank references. Create new customer accounts in SAP system. Manage file coding for parent as well as subsidiaries in SAP. Provide recommendations tied to the analysis for both public and private companies and the assessment of credit risk. Communicate with other credit agencies as required.
Liaison with the collections team as well as other internal areas of the organization, i.e., sales, customer service and certain business unit representatives to ensure all accounts are within their respective credit limits. Evaluate all accounts monthly to ensure alignment with credit limit and exposure. Manage risk alerts in D&B to communicate financial changes, bankruptcy, or risk concerns with the management team.
Liens: Responsible for oversight of the lien process to ensure that payments on an existing project or debt will be made timely.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance AND minimum 5 years credit experience
- General understanding of collections and accounts receivable management
- Working knowledge of SAP, a plus but not required, Microsoft Office, D&B reporting and analytics.
- Accuracy, organization, effective communication skills, and the ability to work with numbers is required.
- The ability to be flexible and interact successfully with a variety of individuals is essential.
