Description: Manages the establishment of logistic and maintenance training to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of simulated aircraft, simulated aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, test equipment, stores and facilities, according to established procedures. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Directs the analyses of current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop maintenance training programs. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for Flight Simulator ATD’s (Aircrew training Devices). Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Manages review of logistical support requirements and recommendation of tool and test equipment, manning, and maintenance activities. Directs the establishment of logistical requirements for simulation systems/equipment supporting all maintenance/operation tasks. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support and associated support/service agreements with vendors. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Prioritize and address maintenance issues. Collect data performance and metrics. Responsible for job functions with regard to cost, schedule, and performance; maintain ATD to meet availability specification; apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturer's manuals or simulator documents.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience with aircraft flight simulator operation and maintenance.
Technical background in logistics and maintenance fields.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.) to generate reports and presentations.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Considered an expert, authority in discipline. Flight simulator experience with FAA level D certification familiarity. Experience with STORM applications (or similar maintenance management software). AS9100 familiarization.
