Assembly Maintenance Technician is an important role on the Silgan Dispensing team and a great opportunity for those looking for a position in the maintenance field. The Assembly Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machinery and equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, and production machines by performing the following duties.
- Evaluate equipment in operation and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency
- Dismantles equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Understand and follow Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Assist in training other employees
- Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by Lead Techs
Job Requirements:
Qualified Candidates must have
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands (Reasonable accommodations provided)
- The physical requirements for this position are classified as requiring Level 4 – Heavy Work. This is defined as the ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, up to 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. This role is required to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, climb, and lay on, in, or under machinery.
