Dinner Chef
We run a small family owned Fly Fishing Lodge in Divide, Montana and we are in search of another chef to commit to a full summer season from May 1st to November 1st. The Silver Bow Club is located In Divide, MT a perfect location for all outdoor enthusiasts. We pride ourselves on our staff our current staff is great to work with and this job provides one of the most unique environments to work in and is fun challenging and rewarding.
The food that we server our guests has an upscale, home and rustic style and feel. we like our chefs to be able to show off their skills so we are open to different menu items. We have a open kitchen this plays a vital role in our customers experience since we are a small intimate ranch we like to avoid the corporate feel and get to know our guest. Ultimately, you’ll help provide an unforgettable dining experience for our customers. Serving group sizes anywhere from couples to medium corporate size groups, we average - 20 people in the busy season. We do both family style and plated. Typically Appetizers, soup/salad, main course, and desert.
Note that this role requires working in daily shifts roughly 2pm-9pm this can vary of course

Location: Divide, Montana.
Responsibilities (but are not limited to):
- Developing menus
- Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. gluten free, remove dairy)
- Preparing food
- Ensuring the quality of preparation of all meal items
- Ensure appealing plate presentation
- Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
- Cook food in a timely manner
- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
- Handling/storage of all food items
- Managing the kitchen and personnel on shift including suos chef and servers
- Assist kitchen staff with food prep and recipe creation
- Implement exemplary Guest service standards throughout the lodge
- Monitor and review schedules and menus to ensure that there is proper coverage for day to day.
- Monitor Team Members ensure that they provide excellent guest service.
- Ensure that the kitchen and surrounding areas are sanitized and clean in accordance with company standards and health code regulation
- Maintain the appearance, presentation, cleanliness and overall service of the facilities, rooms, entrances, kitchens.

Applicants Must:
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Be able to speak, read, and write in English.
- Be able to work standing for 8 hours.
- Be flexible in scheduling with the ability to work weekends and summer holidays (we do have scheduled time off.)
- Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
- Culinary school diploma preferred
- What we like to see, Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes working knowledge of sauces; working knowledge of proper butchering techniques; working knowledge of specialized culinary equipment utilized at the property; knife skills; the ability to adjust preparations for flavor and accommodation client or guest needs in a timely manner; and the ability to discern and evaluate the condition or quality of food products.
