Silver Lake Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire a full-time Rehabilitation Technician to provide optimal care for our long-term acute care patients by assisting and preparing them for their rehabilitation therapy. Our Rehabilitation Technicians work 8 hours a day, Monday-Friday.
Rehabilitation Technicians earn a competitive wage of $16/hour. Silver Lake Hospital is a long-term acute care hospital with a reputation of providing patients with a place to heal before heading home. A long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) is an acute care specialty hospital that provides highly advanced and focused care for higher acuity patients who have not responded to short-term treatment in traditional general hospitals. POSITION SUMMARY
The Rehabilitation Technician assists with the treatment of patients, helps patients prepare for therapy sessions, transports patients between floors and departments, and assists with department clerical duties. This position involves direct patient care for a population of patients between the ages of 18 and older and requires age-specific experience, specialized training, and/or expertise to serve this population.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Rehabilitation Technician in a hospital setting preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to follow directions clearly and efficiently.
