Silver Oak Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking for a caring, compassionate, and patient-focused Assistant Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team. We are a skilled nursing facility of91 dually certified beds in the Marion, Iowa area. Responsibilities:
- Assist Director of Nursing to set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department.
- Assist Director of Nursing to develop, coordinate, and organize admissions, nursing, and patient care policies and procedures.
- Assist Director of Nursing to develop, direct, and empower all nursing personnel.
- Assist Director of Nursing to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and professional to streamline operations.
- Assist Director of Nursing to develop and implement new company policies and programs regarding best clinical practices and resident care plans.
- Maintain a high level of clinical competency, including on-going awareness of clinical best practices to align regulatory requirements and organizations strategic plans.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding skilled nursing.
- Experience building a team of hard working and trustworthy healthcare professionals.
- Great communication skills with team members and family members.
- Excellent communicator with ability to handle concurrent tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong ability to lead and develop your team.
- Proven experience as a Nursing Manager.
