Silverado is presently seeking a Clinical Unit Secretary to join our team.
Daily/ Weekly Functions:
- Attendance check, make sure fully staffed
- Reviewing caregiver resident assignments
- Receiving calling ins and Scheduling replacements
- Review admission paper work and chart order
- Review Yardi and check for accuracy
- Review BM/shower logs for completion and follow up
- Inventory and order supplies: incontinence, nursing, resident care
- Check MARs and Narc logs for missing nursing signatures
Monthly:
- Monthly weights: review for wt loss and gain
- Make sure new BM/shower log completed prior to 1st day of month
- Make sure staffing schedule completed by 15th of month for next month
- Place Weight grid in dietitian book and monthly summary book
- Keep track of all DME, make sure equipment is stored correctly and available to residents.
- Review Resident Charts for accuracy and thin monthly
- Prep charts for new admissions
- Empty DC resident charts and send old records to storage
Quarterly:
- Chart Audit
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent required.
Experience:
- History of working in health care, managing schedules, and a familiarity with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias is preferred.
- Computer skills sufficient to manage a database and scheduling software are essential.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to calmly manage multiple demands.
Other:
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to be “on-call” and respond to emergencies at Silverado.
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds.
- Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related disease.
