RN (Registered Nurse) - PM Shift

Silverado Encinitas is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN)!

Position Pay: $46.00 - $52.00 an hour

PM (2pm-10:30pm) Shifts will include a $2/hour shift differential.

The non-negotiables:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• Experience working as a licensed nurse in a senior care or long-term care setting with residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other memory impairments preferred.
• Ability to train staff in first aid and CPR desirable.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn state and federal regulations governing nursing care.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• One year of experience supervising others to include: setting performance expectations, coaching, motivating, promoting collaboration and teamwork, promoting company culture, managing change, providing performance feedback, delegating effectively, resolving conflicts, etc.
• Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Excellent organization skills required.
• Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds.
• Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia- related disease.

What you will be doing:

• The RN Charge Nurse will have direct supervisory responsibilities for Medication Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants and Caregivers overseeing the care provided to residents at a Silverado Community.
• Act as liaison and maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians.
• Enhance the lives of older adults by assisting them with mobility needs, daily living activities, including, bathing, grooming, and routine personal tasks.
