The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring the consistent operation of all daily Accounts Payable related functions resulting in a timely and accurate month end close and supporting the Controller. Prior experience in AP and working in a fast-paced environment preferred.
Essential Functions Include, but not limited to:
Manage Accounts Payable function to ensure our vendors are paid timely to prevent service interruptions and late fees.
Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
Accurate coding, allocation, and processing of supplier invoices.
Maintain complete and accurate vendor files
File AP related documents
Monthly reconciliations of supplier statements.
1099 maintenance
Identify revenue improvement and cost savings opportunities.
Ensure AP policies and procedures are accurate and current
Reporting and other ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in finance and/or accounting function preferred
- High attention to detail is a must
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred, but not required
- Intermediate Excel skills required to complete tasks. Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Must be organized, dedicated, and possess excellent communication skills
- Ability to professionally communicate by phone and email with vendors and internal employees
- Must have a desire to learn, work independently, and possess strong problem-solving skills and think outside the box
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
