Job Title: RN Emergency Room

Location: Utica, New York

Shift Timing: Day/ Night (12x3)
Hours per week: 36 Hours Per Week
Duration: 13 Weeks of Contract

Responsibilities

• Triage and Assessment: Perform rapid assessments of patients' conditions upon arrival, prioritize care based on urgency, and initiate interventions as necessary.
• Treatment and Intervention: Administer medications, start intravenous lines, perform wound care, and assist with emergency procedures such as intubation or CPR as directed by the medical team.
• Monitoring and Documentation: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, response to treatment, and document all assessments and interventions accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
• Patient Education: Provide clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their healthcare needs.
• Crisis Management: Remain calm and efficient in high-stress situations, including resuscitations, trauma care, and other emergencies, while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Equipment and Supply Management: Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are readily available, properly maintained, and stocked for use in urgent situations

Requirements

• BLS Certificate
• ACLS Certificate
• PALS Certificate
• NIHSS Certificate
• TNCC Certificate
• Covid Vaccination Card or Exemption
• RN New York State License

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $65.00 - $68.00 per hour
