General Summary of Job Duties: The Lifeguard (High Limits) is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests during boating activities or relaxation time spent on the dock on the houseboat. The Lifeguard will work with a team to monitor guest activities and maintain a clean and safe recreation environment.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain constant surveillance of guests in the water.
- Advise swimmers of improper activities or danger in accordance with company regulations and water safety policies.
- Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
- Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Able to act quickly and appropriately to secure the safety of all guests, in the event of an emergency.
- Present professional appearance and attitude always and maintain a high standard of guest service.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Able to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work holidays, weekends, and evenings.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Highly skilled in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
- Strong knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedure
- Ability to accurately prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of applicable Local/State Public Health guidelines, Company and departmental policies and procedures, as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be implemented in the future.
- Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is an essential part of your job.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the High Limit work and related duties are to be performed in compliance with local and state regulations.

Qualifications
Skills, Education & Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid lifeguard certification.
- Must have completed the Red Cross Lifeguard Training or other equivalent training programs.
- Ability to administer first aid and CPR on a priority basis.
- Ability to perform water rescues and handle emergency situations calmly.
- Experience in managing and maintaining equipment and recreation facilities, particularly pool areas.
- Good communication and observation skills, with the ability to maintain adequate records and complete reports.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and stay organized while managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to tread water for long periods and have diving and swimming skills.
Required Work Cards:
- Identification that establishes identity.
- Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States.
- CPR certification.
