As an EMT Positioner you will be under the supervision of a remote physician through video chat technology, responsible for immediate, basic and advanced life support to radiology patients in the outpatient clinical setting, including response to possible adverse reactions to contrast.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrates competency in the performance of job related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services.
- After appropriate training, would aid in positioning patients for MRI and/or CT exams.
- Utilize venipuncture skills in assisting CT and MRI techs as needed
- Verify daily that the “crash cart” is stocked and checked for expiration dates.
- Perform mock codes with site staff
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Support other staff and site as needed in the day to day operations of the imaging center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current state EMT or Paramedic licensure or certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an EMT or Paramedic.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Experience starting IVs and venipuncture.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability and willingness to assist co-workers with workflow as necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
DRESS ATTIRE: Business Casual or scrubs dependent on department
