Staff Management is looking for a Utility Worker 1. The Utility Worker 1 is to maintain the sanitary condition of the facility and to fill in for 1 to 2 operating positions in the plant.

Job Responsibilities

• Routine cleaning of floors, equipment, roofs and outside grounds
• Specialized cleaning tasks such as bin cleanings, rebolt sifter, filter sock changes
• Special duties assigned by management
• Basic process maintenance
• Cross-trained in at least two different operator jobs
• Responsible for understanding and following all personnel and equipment safety policies; Sanitation policies; following all Business Unit policies and procedures.
• Ascend and Descend stairs throughout the facility.
• Climb ladders (both step and extension)
• Wear required PPE.
• Follow verbal and written instructions (English).
• Communicate with peers and supervisors (English) Physical
• Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and vision.

Working Conditions : Both inside / outside conditions may include, but are not limited to extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, hazards, and atmosphere conditions.

• Overall Physical Activity Level Sedentary :
• Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and / or up-to negligible amount of force frequently
• Light : Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and / or 10 lbs of force frequently.
• Medium : Exerting up to 20 - 50 lbs of force occasionally and / or 10 - 25 lbs of force frequently (anything above 50 lbs will be machine lifted or a buddy lift).
• Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Persons in this position must have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities) :
• Must be willing and able to work additional hours which may include overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
• Must be willing to accept accountability and work well in a team.

Associate Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• Background Check
• Able to Lift 40 pounds
