Heavy Equipment Parts Specialist

Growing New England heavy equipment material processing dealership is seeking a highly-visible manager in our parts department. We offer a highly competitive wage and benefits package and a spot on the senior leadership team depending on experience.

DESCRIPTION

The position objective of a Senior Parts Specialist is to be the face of Simplicity Equipment & Service to those customers needing parts for their equipment. The successful candidate would process parts orders in a timely manner to provide quality and speedy service. They must also be diligent in solving parts issues in commitment, sourcing, and delivery.

Responsibilities:

With direction and supervision, you will:

• Communicate and attend to customer needs and provide timely and creative solutions over the phone as well as in-person
• Pick and pack orders
• Manage stocks/inventory through the use of an internal system
• Reporting on competitive activity
• Receive and inspect remanufactured parts
• Accept and process any parts returns
• Managing the shipping and receiving, including the planning of routes of shipment
• Advise customers on products, any updates, and any policies, procedures, and programs as necessary
• Operate small warehouse equipment (hose machine, forklifts)
• Maintain a clean working area in the corporate office

Qualifications:

Minimum completion of High School Diploma

• Previous experience of 3-5 years working in a parts/stocks department within a retail organization
• Understanding the heavy equipment industry and parts is highly preferred
• Strong customer support and communication skills to be able to communicate ideas across clearly over the phone as well as face-to-face
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to navigate stock management software

Appealing attributes include:

• Previous experience utilizing supply chain management software to manage inventory and track orders
• Formal training/certification in the operation of forklifts
