Summary
The incumbent is responsible for coordinating, analyzing, and publishing Demand data, from internal and external stake-holders, that is used to drive operational decision-making, as well as forecast business results, under the guidelines defined by the business unit. The incumbent must be capable of working under limited supervision while adhering to the strict time-lines. The incumbent must also be able to work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Business Partnering to manage issues identified out of the Sales and Operations Planning process through to completion. This role works with the Sales and Marketing managers for the development, improvement and implementation of Demand Management / Sales Management solutions. This role works with internal/external resources to successfully develop and implement solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate demand planning process by using data, forecasts, and experience to estimate demand.
- Assists Sales and Marketing in developing formal analysis on the external environment and ensures resulting assumptions are integrated into Demand Plans.
- Assists Sales in the quantifying customer service level goals which are used to calculate safety stock targets and optimize the use of working capital.
- Coordinates Pre-Demand Management Review (Pre-DMR)distribution and analysis of monthly forecasts and facilitates the Pre-DMR Sales and Marketing review process.
- Responsible for ensuring the effective update of Demand Planning metrics.
- Additional Key Activities: Assists in the development and management of product prioritization and allocation plans in conditions of constrained supply.
- Assists with regular user training sessions for relevant S&OP processes.
Typical Education
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
Relevant Experience
- 1 years related experience and/or training

- This position requires a basic knowledge of distribution and warehousing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer competency in databases and spreadsheets.
- Higher math beyond algebra; Experience with supply chain software; Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); Excellent interpersonal skills; resolve most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
- Assignments are frequently non-routine.
- Ability to work with strict time-lines; Exhibits both excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
