What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker/Pastry Chef position at Simply Sweets?
We are looking to add a member to our growing team. We are currently in need of an assistant baker.
The Assistant Baker must have great attention to detail, correctly use a scale, and follow a recipe. It is important that they take pride in a clean work space and practice important health, safety, sanitation, and organizational skills. This position requires dedication to finish all projects, the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with others, and the ability to adapt to any last minute requests while remaining calm under pressure.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inventory of Ingredients and product
- Calculate volume, and make cake batter as needed on a daily basis
- Schedule and self manage production of all bakery products including:
- Cookies
- Bars
- Muffins
- Cakes & cupcakes this will include calculating the volume, and making batter as needed on a daily basis
- Buttercream
- Assorted pastries
- Scones
- Prepares and serves items in accordance to established procedures, recipes, portion size, and presentation standards
