Title: Technician II
The Technician II is responsible for testing, repairing, and upgrading reuse units.
- Support and comply with all Safety, Health, Environment, Community, and Sustainability (SHECS) policies, procedures, and initiatives, including SimsMMway Program, to ensure a safe work environment. This may include conducting Safety Conversations and submitting HazReps.
- Report any accidents, incidents, safety issues, errors, or other problems immediately to appropriate management personnel.
- Support positive employee relations and team environment.
- Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Test functionality of potential reuse equipment, including memory, HDDs, SSDs, processors, PCs, LCDs, servers, printers, laptops, and other electronic devices; maintain necessary documentation.
- Wipe HDDs and SSDs and verify data removal.
- Maintain testing stations, including organization and equipment connectivity.

Experience/Qualification Required
- Relevant high school qualifications or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Training in one or more of the following areas: PC configuration/repair, A certification, LAN, MS administration, internet security, preferred
- Two years of relevant experience in a similar occupation or industry
Skills and Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively with a broad range of individuals at multiple levels
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Install operating systems such as Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR).
- Remove and replace faulty components as directed by supervisor or designee.
- Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) checks as required.
- Participate in Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and cost-control initiatives, including participation in Huddle Board meetings.
- Participate in relevant training as required.
- Where applicable, operate mobile plant equipment and train as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions
- Work may be performed in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment with potential exposure to dust, extreme temperatures, humidity, and high noise level
- Typical use of office equipment including computers, telephones, copiers, etc.
- Long periods of sitting, standing, and walking
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, fitted dust mask, etc., as required
- Work schedule may be adjusted as business needs dictate
- Must be able to take on new assignments as needed regardless of existing workload
- Must be able to work under deadlines and related stresses in a timely manner
