Sinai Urban Health Institute (SUHI) is seeking a Program Manager of Evaluation to work under the direction of the Director/Associate Director of Community Health Innovations (CHI). The Program Manager serves as lead evaluator with responsibilities including data and project management, grant reporting and writing, assisting with and leading publications for peer-reviewed journals, and presenting research findings to local and national audiences. The position is involved in CHI intervention work including breast/cervical/colorectal cancer prevention, asthma initiatives, and mitigating social determinants of health in high-risk patients (among others), as well as work on an NIH-sponsored program to help Chicago communities disproportionately affected by COVID-19.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Oversee evaluation, data management, and project management for several programs related to community health work and addressing health inequities.
• Design surveys, REDCap databases, forms, and other data collection tools.
• Develop program goals, objectives, logic models, research protocols, IRB documents, evaluation plans, and data management plans.
• Conduct data/statistical analysis using Stata, R, SPSS, or similar programs as well as Microsoft Excel.
• Prepare evaluation and other reports for internal and external stakeholders as well as assist with research dissemination activities (e.g., creating data briefs, publications, flyers, and presentations).
• Provide training in monitoring and evaluation methods to research assistants, data managers, interns/fellows, and partners/grantees.
• Provide assistance writing, editing, and researching grant proposals.
• Substantially contribute to the development and planning of projects.
• Network with other professionals at Sinai Chicago, in and around Chicagoland area, and nationally in facilitating additional opportunities and partnerships.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
ï‚Ÿ Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Community Health, or a closely related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
ï‚Ÿ Experience conducting evaluation and project management of social service or public health programs.
ï‚Ÿ Excellent database development, data management, and data analysis skills.
ï‚Ÿ Expertise with Microsoft Excel and Access, REDCap, statistical analysis software (Stata, R, SAS, or SPSS), and online survey design tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey); knowledge of SQL is a plus.
ï‚Ÿ Effective oral and written communication skills to be utilized with a variety of audiences.
ï‚Ÿ The ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple programs and with multidisciplinary teams.
ï‚Ÿ Supervisory experience is a plus.
ï‚Ÿ An interest in social epidemiology and the use of epidemiological research and investigation as tools in addressing the needs of underserved communities.
ï‚Ÿ Demonstrated commitment to racial and health equity.
