JOB OVERVIEW:
The Assistant Manager will assist the General Manager in the day-to-day operations and assist in the overall growth of the business. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for guidance, supervision, and training to ensure all staff adheres to company policies and procedures. Additionally, they will be an important contributor to the customer experience at Sinai Sports, responsible for creating a fun, inviting, and safe environment for each person that visits.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Assist in the day-to-day business operations, usually in the evenings and on weekends
- Supervise staff to ensure positive customer experiences and adherence to all company policies and guidelines
- Act as the “in charge” member of the management team when scheduled
- Responsible for closing and securing the building and grounds as needed
- Ensure staff follows and completes all daily tasks, including all cleaning and organization requirements
- Facilitate a positive, team-oriented, respectful and fun culture where staff viewpoints are valued
- Provide feedback to help measure and track staff performance for ongoing staff reviews
- Ensure the facility always meets standards for safety, cleanliness, and security through proper documentation
- Assist in the development and implementation of programming to increase facility usage
- Establish relationships with various community organizations to help increase facility awareness and usage
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager, Owner & Director of Operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Previous management experience preferred
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information in a clear, concise and timely manner
- Leadership and people management experience, including the ability to connect with, motivate and inspire individuals to perform at high levels
- Ability to work a flexible schedule – to include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Proficient computer skills
- Experience working with/coaching kids
- First Aid/CPR certification is required
- Passionate with a willingness to help grow Sinai Sports and its programs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
