What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resource Coordinator - Fast Forward Re-Engagement Center (Grant-Funded) position at Sinclair Community College?
This community outreach position interfaces with multiple groups and facets of Sinclair and our College Credit Plus program. The Fast Forward Re-Engagement Center (FFRC) Resource Coordinator position is a key support position to the FFRC office and the Montgomery County Out-of-School Youth Initiative. The purpose of this position is to ensure resource and referral support services information is disseminated to students/families and stakeholders. Maintains FFRC date management tool for data tracking, student scheduling, and assist with preparation and compiling of information needed for all reports required or requested by Sinclair leadership, Montgomery County, as well as other funders, and national reports on dropout intervention and re-engagement. This position supports office operations, department media/marketing outreach, and student intake.
This position is grant funded and contingent upon the funding associated with the respective grant.
The minimum salary for this position is $36,744. Salary is determined commensurate with experience.
Principal Accountabilities
- Prepare and maintain databases of FFRC services and outcomes crucial for reporting progress as requested by county and other funders/donors
- Prepare, develop, and maintain data of outside services provided by partners, and prepare graphs/charts reports for presentations
- Coordinate, manage and disseminate community and school resources for students and families
- Data entry and reporting using internal database tracking tools, and Student Enrichment Programs (SEP) data reporting system through the college; oversee electronic scheduling of student appointments; resource referrals and follow-ups
- Recognize and create processes that continuously improve data analysis and management of services
- Train and provide support for program staff on the use of current and new database tools, in addition to software Google Suites that provide information and re-engagement support.
- General office management of daily program operations which includes front desk customer service, mailing, duplication, files, and record-keeping, FFRC marketing/social media, managing SCC paperwork processes for purchases, travel, etc.
Requirements
- Minimum Associates Degree required with excellent skills using Google Suites; preference given to background in education and social services area
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general office work within education or social service related field required
- Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office application or information management systems
- Prior work experience with secondary and/or post-secondary education processes/enrollment and community resources for youth and families preferred
- Effective communication skills to work with various groups of students, families, and community stakeholders.
- Strong technology knowledge and skills that support data entry, reporting processes, and understanding of academic and social/emotional assessment programs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical work practices
