Scheduling Coordinators are unique associates who specialize in front line care and are the administrative backbone to our Resident Care team. This position creates schedules, manages call offs, communicates absences to the Wellness Coordinator and Resident Care Manager, and provides care to our residents through assisting their Activities of Daily Living. Scheduling Coordinators report to the Resident Care Manager and are a part of our Resident Care team. Managing schedules while giving care to our residents allows the Scheduling Coordinator to both help our residents directly and make sure that there is enough staff to meet all of the residents’ needs.
Our Resident Care Department provides individualized care to seniors who are in need of assistance with personal tasks. Our care associates assist residents with their everyday needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, mobility, medication administration, and engagement in social activities. Through constant compassion, patience, and understanding, they strive to maintain resident independence and dignity.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Create, manage and fill the schedule for the Resident Care team.
- Manages call offs in an efficient manner by problem solving to fill the need. Control overtime and ensure associates are working appropriate hours based on their status.
- Act as a Caregiver or Med Tech when needed to fill gaps in the schedule.
- Communicate with Wellness Coordinator and Resident Care Manager for absences and potential days in which more/less staff may be required.
- Assist residents with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including waking, toileting, feeding, safety, light cleaning, and bathing.
- Give emotional support to the residents by treating them with respect, dignity, and always maintaining a positive and cheerful appearance.
- Promote safety and wellbeing of the residents through use of written and verbal procedures, safety equipment, and awareness of any potential dangers.
- Assist with all other duties as assigned by the Wellness Coordinator.

Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- General computer skills.
- In North Carolina, CNA is required.
- Previous experience as a Caregiver and Med Tech.
- Previous experience creating and managing schedules.
- Previous experience working in an assisted living or memory care community is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant use of manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
- Associates in this role are occasionally exposed to hot water, and cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to reach, bend, twist, squat, kneel, push and pull.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. 80 pounds of pressure may be placed on the associate through transfers using transfer belts or mechanical assists.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements including simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
- Constant standing and walking.
