Clinical Support Specialist
Job Summary
The Clinical Support Specialist (MA, LPN, etc.) is a vital part of the healthcare team providing clinical and administrative assistance to clinicians in a growing company that utilizes sophisticated health care delivery platforms to meet the specific needs of our elderly population.
The Clinical Care Specialist works to ensure that clinicians are able to reach some of the most vulnerable populations and to provide quality care necessary to ensure improved health.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs clinical and administrative duties that include but are not limited to: greeting patients, preparing charts, taking patient histories, and checking vital signs.
- Use technology to assist clinicians with telemedicine visits i.e. smartphone or tablet.
- Participate in preventative care reminder programs.
- Travel to assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, group homes or private homes to assist patients with telemedicine visit. Safely use and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
- Communicate and collaborate at all times with the Medical team lead and Clinician.
- Holding the Visit Management (Scheduling) department accountable to provide confirmed appointments in advance.
- Collaboration to map out patient visits and their execution on a daily basis
- Assisting in registration of new patients with Account Managers, as well as occasionally independently
- Self-management of schedule and working hours
Qualifications/Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited ME/LPN/LRN program
- Access to reliable device with video capability i.e. smartphone or tablet.
- Reliable transportation with a valid Arizona Driver's License.
- Must hold an active CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be responsible and self motivated to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years experience in Primary Care or working with geriatric population.
- Experience working with electronic health records and Google Suite. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Qualified Medical Interpreters will be highly considered.
- For external CSS: Must be willing to travel within a 25 mile radius of residence.
