Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in supporting various operating systems and technologies, providing technical assistance to end-users, and ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components on desktops.
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Respond to IT support requests and incidents in a timely manner.
- Set up new user accounts and profiles and handle password resets.
- Collaborate with the IT team to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets and equipment inventory.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and Active Directory.
- Experience with Linux operating systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with Help Desk software such as Remedy or ServiceNow.
- Ability to troubleshoot mobile devices (iOS, Android).
- Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented approach.
