Lathe Operator
Duties:
- Operates CNC and manual machining equipment to finish product to Shop Order requirements, prints and drawings
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Must be able to understand and follow basic CAD drawings/prints
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Tasks:
- Produce items as instructed by shift leader or Production Manager
- Fabricates products according to prints and drawings
- Performs changeover tasks and in-process inspections
- Operate equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions
- Operate machinery used in the production process, or tool lengths and offsets to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
- Performing machining operations such as turning, threading, boring, and facing
- Work in a fast-paced environment with fast-changing priorities
- Commit to reaching goals and completing tasks on time, or notify appropriate person with an alternate plan of action
- Make basic revisions and changes in program when appropriate
- Operate single or multiple machines simultaneously when possible
- Accurately count parts and complete data entry
- Perform special assignments and other duties as directed
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing, preferable in a related industry.
- Be dependable, follow instructions, respond to direction, take responsibility for own actions, keep commitments
- Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements
- Ability to use simple measuring tools such as calipers and micrometer
- Possess high-quality mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter, able to work effectively and efficiently with positive attitude and minimal supervision
Requirements:
- Must be able to use basic measuring devices (micrometer, calipers, protractors, and etc.) to ensure product meets specifications
- Must be able to understand basic CAD drawings/prints
- Must possess and be able to demonstrate basic computer skills
- Must be able to set up and operate Lathe machines
- Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually up to 60 pounds
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an indoor setting with frequent in-person interactions. Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher (required)
Experience:
- Basic computer skills
- Experience in a production or manufacturing setting preferred
- Prior experience in skilled trade area or machine shop preferred

- M-F 8-hour shifts (7-3)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
