What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Quality Engineer position at Sitetracker?

The Opportunity As a Software Quality Engineer on the Quality Assurance team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of incredibly motivated, highly talented professionals who share your desire to raise the QA bar and create the best possible product, service, and experience for our customers.   With a passion for high quality, test management, defect management, and development of best practices, you will work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to implement QA processes and procedures that will enable proper verification of customer requirements.  You will enforce process control points and maintain metrics to enable data driven decisions around quality.  You will improve the rigor, ensure standardization of QA processes, and ensure consistency across the Engineering team.   You will work with a Scrum team to coordinate and execute QA activities, provide test guidance, test process support, and training. You will participate in the Agile/CI development lifecycle process ensuring accurate effort estimates are submitted, release deadlines are met, and proper QA alignment is achieved.   For manual testing, you will play an integral role in understanding the customer requirements and identifying the test scenarios that will ensure the quality of the product.  You will create, document, execute, and maintain detailed test cases to perform functional unit, integration, and regression testing for each ticket in scope.  Any issues noted will be logged as bugs and retested.   For automated testing, you will partner with our automation team to identify and prioritize the automation scope for your scrum team and ensure they understand the feature/process to be automated.  You will ensure all required test variations (positive/negative) are covered for each feature, assist with data identification, review test results, and address feature related defects/bugs raised during execution.   You will feel empowered to own your role and showcase ideas and creativity within your area of responsibility.  You will be exposed to the world’s premier cloud platform Force.com, a global workforce, a global customer base, the Agile/CI development lifecycle, and have an opportunity to make a real difference on how quality is perceived by our customers. (Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $65,000/year bonus equity benefits *Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085(8-5-20) About Sitetracker   Sitetracker was founded seven years ago with the singular focus of solving a problem that was first recognized within the telecommunications industry; how to effectively manage the volume, variety, and velocity of critical infrastructure projects needed to meet the demand of expanding wireless and cellular service.  That problem has become even more pronounced due to the eventual explosion of 5G.  Being able to effectively deploy infrastructure is going to be the differentiator between leading telecommunication providers.    However, over the years, we realized that this challenge isn’t localized to telecommunications – it’s pervasive nearly everywhere and has reached an inflection point.  Utilities (such as gas and electric services), smart cities, and alternative energy all face similar challenges.  Sitetracker is the only full-lifecycle project management platform suited to support these companies and address these challenges.   We are exceptionally proud of the company we’ve built (we were recently recognized as the #2 place to work in San Francisco, as well as one of the top places to work in the entire United States).  Our people are extraordinary and we’re continuing to invest in our people-first culture.
