What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician position at Six Flags Theme Parks?
Summary: Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of electrical systems throughout the park.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot facilities to ensure their safe and efficient operation with minimum supervision.
· Inspect rides, facilities and attractions, notifying appropriate management of any and all hazards that may endanger our guests or employees.
· Assist in installation, repair, and retrofit of electrical systems.
· Follow state, local, and Park regulations for installations and maintenance of electrical systems.
· Work in conjunction with others to solve ride related problems.
· Complete opening and closing duties.
· Create a warm, fun, atmosphere for guests.
· Keep all daily repair logs and journals current and accurate of maintenance performed.
· Keep all work areas clean and free of debris.
· Keep all assigned equipment and vehicles in safe, working order, accounted for and properly maintained.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Reporting Structure:
· Reports directly to the Lead Electrician
Skills and Qualifications:
· Must have 0-2 years of related experience and be able to work well in team environment.
· Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
· Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management in a fast-paced environment.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.
· Must have tools and equipment to perform required duties and skills as defined above.
· Must be at least 18 years of age with a fundamental understanding of Electrical systems
· Computer literacy. Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
