SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to lead our dynamic marketing team at SJC Cultural Events, Inc. In this leadership role, the Marketing Director will oversee and manage all aspects of show-specific marketing and Marketing Coordinators, ensuring that our campaigns are innovative, effectively executed, and aligned with our diverse audience's needs. Your expertise will be pivotal in elevating our brand presence, driving ticket sales, enhancing audience engagement, and contributing significantly to the success of our events and community initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Develop, oversee, and communicate the execution of strategic marketing plans for our concerts, events, and festivals, ensuring alignment with our overall business goals and brand identities, including but not limited to digital and traditional advertising mediums.
? Lead, mentor, and oversee marketing coordinators in show-specific marketing efforts. Must provide collaborative environment, develop clear performance metrics, and monitor show specific advertising budgets.
? Work closely with talent buyers, agents, artist management, and internal teams to align marketing efforts with artist and event-specific needs.
? Venue PR needs include new show announcements, specialty events, managing local media relations, and building relationships with key media stakeholders.
? Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing detailed reports and insights to the Chief Marketing & Public Relations Officer, and making data-driven decisions for future marketing strategies.
? Work with the Chief Marketing & Public Relations Officer on the strategic development, execution, and oversight of general advertising campaigns for each of our brands, including The St. Augustine Amphitheatre, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, and our special events like the Sing Out Loud Festival and the Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Series. Ensure consistent and effective branding across all marketing materials and platforms.
? Engage with sponsors, community leaders, and other key stakeholders to foster partnerships and support for events.
? Apply innovative approaches and technologies to keep our marketing strategies ahead of the curve and up to date with the latest trends in music and venue marketing.
? Assist with marketing response in crisis situations, ensuring timely and appropriate communication strategies.
? Ability to evaluate, develop, and execute new processes to streamline projects for the marketing department.
? Cultivate and foster collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external partners, facilitating effective communication and cooperation to achieve shared goals.
? Day of show event coverage and duties as necessary.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
? This position supervises the Marketing Department, including Marketing Coordinators, and Social Media Coordinator.
? Responsible for performance reviews, interviewing, coaching/discipline and daily management of duties.

QUALIFICATIONS
? A minimum of 7 years of marketing experience, with a proven track record in leading successful campaigns or initiatives. Music or event industry experience is preferred.
? Experience in digital marketing strategy, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, SEO tools, and familiarity with other project management tools.
? Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
? Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a track record of using data to inform marketing decisions.
? Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
? Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, Content Management Systems (CMS), and email marketing platforms.
? Extensive music knowledge, and familiarity with the cultural scene in St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra, Florida.
? Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
? Experience with graphic design and video editing is a plus.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
? Bachelor?s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
? Minimum of seven years of related experience required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
? Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

TRAVEL
Up to 20% of travel between St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra; travel may be sporadic.
