High School Admissions Representative

What we're looking for: Someone with tenacity, passion, excitement, and grit to join our team as an High School Admissions Advisor.

So you have a natural ability to see people's talents, and love encouraging them to achieve their goals? You could be the High School Admissions Advisor we've been looking for. An High School Admissions Advisor encourages prospective students to use higher education to prepare for professional success. By getting to know your applicants you will help to match their abilities and interests with an SJVC career education program. High School Admissions Advisors offer support, guidance, and accountability throughout the entire enrollment process. This position is supported and supervised by the Enrollment Services Director, campus and regional leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Generates qualified leads through conducting presentations at high schools and public events
• Acquires and maintains a contact database for all area high schools
• Addresses community groups, college nights and career fairs as appropriate

• Contacts and follows up on high school leads they generate
• Schedules appointments with prospective students and their parents
• Makes admissions presentations to prospective students and their parents
• Gives prospective students a tour of the college
• Schedules placement exams and discusses results with applicants
• Refers applicants to financial services
• Directs students and their parents through the commitment and enrollment processes

• Follows up by telephone and correspondence for orientation, start date, uniform and supplies
• Records all activities in CampusVue
• Performs other duties as assigned
