Summary:
Engineering Technicians are responsible for technical shop floor support. In this position, you will be the first line support in addressing daily production issues related to process performance. This position reports to an Engineering Supervisor.
Responsibilities of the Engineering Tech may include:
- Troubleshooting machining, programming and tooling issues.
- Special Process Support (NDT, HT and passivation, NADCAP, contamination).
- CMM programming & metrology support.
- Tool design.
- CAD/CAM support.
- Creation and updating of process documentation.
- Supporting New Product Introduction Activities.
- Supporting New Capital Introduction Activities.
- Other manufacturing engineering support as needed.
Job Duties:
- First line support in addressing daily production issues related to process performance.
- Trouble shooting machine, program and tooling issues.
- Support training and qualify new employees.
- Support Operations in meeting facility KPIs in Safety, Quality, Deliveries, and Cost.
- Support Channel Manufacturing Engineers in process documentation.
- Participate in problem solving and/or continuous improvement activities on various plant issues as assigned.
- Maintain 5S certification of work area and throughout the facility
- Performs data entry duties for a variety of manufacturing/quality systems.
- Support and recommends edits and updates of new and existing documents as assigned.
- Auditing operations to process standards.
- Creation of BOMs and routing documentation.
- Creation of manufacturing prints.
- CNC programming.
Required Skills and Education:
- 3 years' experience as an Engineering Tech I and an Associate in Science with an emphasis in machining, tool design, mechatonix, engineering, or 5 Years Manufacturing Experience.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite Software.
- Proficient in Solidworks.
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software (MasterCAM or hyperMill).
- Be able to lift and maneuver up to 35 lbs.
- Critical thinking / troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Flexible - willingness to work off-shifts and weekends to accomplish goals.
- Positive attitude with the ability to support the Company's goals and mission.
- Must use excellent ethical business practices and good judgment in dealings.
- High safety focus with the desire to maintain a safe work environment in an industrial setting.
- A commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems and remain open to try new ways of doing things.
- Ability to focus on highly detailed tasks to ensure accuracy.
