Summary:
The Aerospace Business Unit is responsible for Aerospace applications with a global responsibility for Sales, Manufacturing, Business development, Product and Process Development. The Business Unit operates in a large number of countries and markets, all over the world and with a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace industry. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for an engine / airframe application and then produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of our Business Unit. In Hanover, PA we produce Rings and Seals for the Aerospace and Industrial markets. We are looking for an Inventory Manager
at our Hanover, PA site. The Inventory Manager will be expected to manage transactions, analyze and facilitate all inventory, daily cycle process, oversee MFOs, and to support warehouse functions. Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety, quality, cost, and delivery as key performance indicators.
- Responsible for overseeing all inventory transactions.
- Find solutions to eliminate common transactional errors of inventory transactions.
- Oversee daily cycle process to ensure factory inventory is accurate.
- Oversee all MFOs who are responsible for product movement and daily transactions in system.
- Support warehouse as needed with shipping/receiving transactions.
- Utilize customer portals to initiate, update, and track shipments.
- Coach managers to be accountable and engaged leaders based on the SKF performance and leadership behaviors.
- Review inventory output and determines amount of inventory that should remain onsite to meet projected future planning.
- Analyze inventory data, document inventory costs, and prioritize inventory control.
- Must be comfortable utilizing various computer programs to manage and analyze inventory.
- Provide input for production planning.
- Work closely with local and Unit buyers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management or related field preferred.
- Associate degree in business related field and minimum 5-years of operational experience including inventory experience OR High School Diploma/GED and minimum 10-years of operational experience including inventory experience.
- Experience managing and inspiring direct reports.
- Have experience with analysis of large volumes of data in an industrial sector.
- Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required.
Skills, Knowledge, & Other Requirements:
- Prior experience with inventory management.
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Qualified candidates should have experience working with an automated ERP system.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and high confidence in providing recommendations.
- Must have an inquisitive nature to understand how factory processes impact results in order to effect change.
- Knowledge of lean techniques.
