SKF has an immediate opening for a Machining Technician. We are seeking individuals with good math skills, great attention to detail, and above average problem-solving skills. Experience is helpful but not required. We are an aerospace bearing repair station looking to hire individuals who have the aptitude to work independently while supporting the team.
Job Summary:
Operation and set up of machines according to quality specifications to ensure product conforms to finish dimensions. As a Machining Technician, you will have the opportunity to learn and operate multiple machines. In this position, you will work on a climate-controlled factory floor with small amounts of machine noise.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
- Set up machines and adjust tool changes according to instructions, specifications, and SOPs.
- Select, place, and secure tooling in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches.
- Calculate material removal from part.
- Set gages to measure OD, ID, 3pt race, and offset.
- Set and adjust necessary controls to regulate machines.
- Operate multiple machines.
- Follow all plant safety regulations.
- Support departmental performance goals.
- Perform other machining duties as assigned.
- PPE required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Candidates must pass a near vision eye test to Jaeger 1 and a color perception test.
- Competent in general math.
- Must be able to move/lift up to 50lbs at times.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, and climb to access parts of the machines.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work in a climate-controlled factory floor with small amounts of machine noise.
