Fabricator

Position Overview:

General work experience 3-5 years includes progressive responsibilities, trained to operate various fabrication machines, use of hands tools and basic inspection and measuring devices, certified forklift driver (sit-down) effective use of manual material handling equipment and packaging methods, operation housekeeping and work center safety requirements.

Position Expectations:

General overview of the varied tasks and assignments Level 2 employees share, in addition Level 2 personnel may be assigned specific job duties on a scheduled basis.

Product Fabrication

After suitable training in machine set-up, operate selected fabrication machinery;

· Perform as part of a team in product fabrication

· Learn the basic machine trouble shooting process

· Identify acceptable product quality vs unacceptable

· Learn the repair or rework steps for selected finished goods to meet quality standards

· Learn to coordinate a fabrication team

· Be able to re-stock or load raw materials/components for machine

· Be competent in production accountability (documentation) products produced, seconds, waste/scrap

· Package/identify finished goods per requirements

Material Handling

In support of Fabrication & Warehouse;

· Operate forklift to unload and load trucks and containers

· Be able to move and position Forklift Ramp safety and securely

· As required assist in product loading for different products (dead stacking) for containers, trucks and warehouse storage

· Assist will call customers for Order Pick-up

· Process shipping & receiving documentation

· Assemble product pallets, pallet build components for product shipping & storage

Operation Support

· Perform daily Forklift inspection as assigned

· Perform Facility Inspection tasks when assigned

· Participate in Monthly inventory of components and finished goods

· As assigned maintain yard and facility housekeeping requirements

· When assigned assist in basic machine PM’s – preventative maintenance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
