What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter position at Skillforce?
Skillforce Inc. is looking for professional carpenters and carpenter helpers in Williamsburg, VA with the ability to work within a crew of other talented craftsmen. You must be a detail-oriented carpenter able to work with minimal supervision. Pay is based on your experience and proven prior work history.
Carpenter Requirements:
- Repair work and installation of doors, windows, and fixtures as needed.
- Ability to do trim work
- Ability to hang drywall
- Ability to do metal and wood framing
- Install of floors, roofs, and walls
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Ability to design your own layout is preferred but not required
- Ability to read blueprints and follow osha safety regulations
Carpenter Qualifications:
- 3 years of proven experience as a carpenter
- OSHA 10 or 30 is a plus but not required
- Must have your own tools and reliable transportation
