JOB SUMMARY
As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Finish Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspect aerospace parts for accuracy and compliance to requirements, specifications and drawings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Utilizing a working knowledge of Skills’ Quality system and related procedures, advise production employees of quality requirements.
- Determine tools required for relevant inspection and inspect parts.
- Inspect, adjust, and verify accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments.
- Compare part with blueprint, sketches, tools and/or procedures for conformance.
- Recommend corrective procedures to bring parts into conformance.
- Initiate rejection tags as necessary.
- Review handling or packaging instructions and ensure compliance to instructions.
- Inspect Work Orders for accurate completion.
- Create certifications for completed parts as required.
- Participate in customer inquiries as directed.
- Provide feedback and suggest improvements in Quality system.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to verify product work order, purchase order, and all associated documentation correspond relative to part number, revision, quantity, and quality.
- Knowledge of basic measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, depth and height gauges, etc.
- Ability to use and understand the application and techniques of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to interpret specs and drawings and recognize when parts are out of specification.
- Functional understanding of AS9100 and NADCP quality and process control systems.
- Prepares and completes all necessary paperwork for reporting acceptance and/or rejection of inspected products.
- Basic computer literacy in Windows environment and basic literacy in MS Office.
- Ability to move around the shop as needed to inspect work.
- Knowledge or experience working in an inclusive work environment, particularly those persons with disabilities.
- Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to communicate in English through voice, or American Sign Language or adaptive technology.
- Ability to read, write, communicate and/or follow written and verbal instructions in English.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent.
