What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cable Tech position at Skiltrek?
Switch Installation for Large Retail Environments
Scope of work:
The Switch Install project will consist of 2 teams: Fiber pulling team and Switch install team
The Switch install team (team of 2) will be traveling behind the fiber pullers to decommission old Switches and install new switches
Switch Techs will work 5 days a week to start the project Sunday - Thursday
Experience with fiber termination (fusion splice) and fiber troubleshooting, network switch troubleshooting, retro, and replacement, as well as scissor lift experience. They need to be able to follow a network switch cutsheet and be confident in network switch hot swaps.
Must have their own basic hand tools
This is a 100% traveling position, technicians will be given a van or rental vehicle
The duration is February through October
