JOB DESCRIPTION
Skiltrek is looking for a Battery and Power Systems Engineers to work within the Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) business line. They will work on packaging Li-ion and other chemistry cells to provide solutions for the AAM (Advanced Air Mobility) and fixed wing aircraft solutions. This company has recently been awarded new programs and is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth. This person will help to build out the teams taking on this new and exciting work. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 6 years of experience designing, architecting and integrating battery systems for high-power or safety critical applications
- Experience integrating battery systems into vehicles, aircraft, or high-level power system architectures.
- Experience in full lifecycle development including system requirements, design, system-level integration, validation, and verification.
- Knowledge of high voltage (> 400 volts) electrical power system design.
- Knowledge of battery management system designs
- Knowledge of thermal management of energy storage systems, air and liquid cooling.
- US citizen able to obtain a government clearance
- Must relocate to Endicott, NY
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of with ARP-4754A and ARP-4761.
- Demonstrated experience with DO-311A
- Demonstrated experience with FAA TSO process
