Location : Dickerson, Maryland (National Institute of Health - Poolesville)
Type : Non-Exempt
Work Schedule : Part-Time / Variable Shifts
Compensation : $17.44-$17.44 / hour

Skookum is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working Grounds Maintenance Porter with a helpful attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to :
Shall perform debris, drain, and ditch cleanup.
Pick up and remove all rubbish, debris, and trash (which includes, but is not limited to; rock, paper, pine cones, limbs, leaves, animal droppings, and other portable objects within the maintenance area and all trash papers and limbs lodged in shrubs, hedges, fences, and along foundation walls.
Inspect all common areas to ensure that they are organized, clean, neat, free from clutter, and safe.
Employees shall follow and adhere to all safety provisions as stated in the employee handbook, training, and Skookum leadership.
Periodic use of string trimmers and push mowers.
Qualifications :
No minimal experience in facilities or ground maintenance required.
Willing to receive on-the-job training from Skookum staff.
Physical Requirements :
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance.
The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements :
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
Job coach must be present for 1st month of employment and provide periodic check-ins.
