Position Summary
The Sales Support Manager primary responsibility will be to serve as the main interface between the Global Sales team and various internal departments. The role will ensure that the Sales team is well-informed about product and marketing developments and actively engaged with internal stakeholders to meet customer needs. This role acts as a conduit between Sales and other teams within the company.
Primary Functional Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Engagement (On Behalf of Sales)
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to address and communicate customer inventory and delivery challenges, expediting orders when necessary, and managing non-forecasted demand and availability.
- Work with Account Management on product setups, in-bound routing communication, customer chargebacks, sample coordination, order verification, and pricing accuracy.
- Interface with Program Management (Product) to share customer requirements, communicate product roadmaps, aggregate customer NPI forecasts, and ensure pricing compliance during product launches.
- Engage with Marketing to coordinate customer meeting preparations, manage sample availability, request assets, and share global promotional calendars.
Other Responsibilities:
- Attend meetings, collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Finance on sales strategies.
- Assist in inventory allocation by prioritizing customers.
- Work with the SVP Sales and the legal department to advance customer contracts through the development and approval process, as well as collaborate with Finance on deal and pricing approvals.
- Participate in RFP response development and coordination with Product Managers and Marketing.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5 years of relevant experience in a sales, sales operations or related role.
- Education: Business degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong project management skills to handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in SAP, Project Manager software, and Monday.com is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address inventory and delivery challenges.
- Attention to detail for order verification and compliance tasks.
- Organizational skills to manage sample closets, promotional calendars, and meeting preparations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of contract development and pricing approval processes.
- Familiarity with RFP response coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
