Job Summary and Qualifications
In conjunction with the executive team, responsible for setting a strategic direction for the Oncology Service Line at Sky Ridge Medical Center and integrating the plan with HealthONE and Sara Cannon. Develop and implement business plans to support the continued growth and success of the SRMC Oncology Service Line. Provide operational oversight for select growth programs. Ensure the financial viability of initiatives. Establish collaborative relationships with various departments and managers within Sky Ridge, the HealthONE hospitals and its community partners and physician partners.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Leadership and Governance
- Lead Service Line Governance Committee for SRMC
- Develop financially viable business and organizational models that balance and align the interests of the hospital and those of the division, thereby achieving maximum flexibility for program development.
- Guide outreach efforts
- Collaborate with Sara Cannon to ensure standards are upheld and appropriate operations and strategic initiatives are in place.
- Interface with the hospital’s executive team to provide effective management direction for Oncology at Sky Ridge Medical Center.
Growth and Expansion of Service Line
- Serve as centralized point person for SRMC’s oncology services line.
- Facilitate the development of priorities for inpatient and outpatient oncology services.
- Assist hospital with identification of best oncology strategy and assist with execution where helpful.
- Elevate consistency of oncology care at Sky Ridge Medical Center.
- Serve as subject matter expert for planning, data capture, market share, opportunity assessment, marketing, sales and other growth-oriented functions.
Strategic Planning and Business Development
- Formulate and gain approval for strategic and business plans and objectives consistent with SRMCs mission, goals, and strategies designed to support the community and ensure their mutual success.
- Ensure the strategic planning and operational budgeting processes are linked and support the hospital’s plans.
- Develop new and enhance existing inpatient and outpatient clinical programs and services to achieve growth opportunities commensurate with availability capacity.
- Establish marketing programs that enhance the awareness and preference for SRMC programs and services among key internal and external customer constituencies.
Physician Relations
- Build long-term relationships with all physicians that participate in oncology care at SRMC
- Assist with the prioritization of the activities of SRMC’ physician relation managers (PRMs)
- Develop with the PRM a Oncology specific physician relationships plan and SRMC specific physician relations metrics and tracking
Community Outreach
- Develop in collaboration with the Marketing a community outreach program for the SRMC Oncology Line and programs.
- Serve as the Oncology Liaison in collaboration with medical staff to community partners to include but not limited to schools and school districts, businesses and business groups, oncology advocacy and diseases specific groups, healthcare payers and entities (as appropriate) and Public Safety (to include Police, Fire and EMS in collaboration with EMS Liaison)
- Serve as speaker/presenter as requested and in collaboration with marketing for community events.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare management experience required and evidence of experience in Oncology leadership and program development
