The occupational health physician role will be working closely with the rest of the Sky occupational health team. The key focus of the role is delivering OH clinics and providing specialist medical advice. What you'll do: Deliver OH consultations following management referrals for advice on fitness for work, sickness absence, workplace adjustments to support both those at work and returning to work, and recruitment referrals for applicants who may need adjustments to support them on joining Sky. Deliver medical assessments for our field-based engineers (who work at heights), and other role specific medical assessments. Participate in the delivery of current and future health surveillance programmes and other statutory assessments, including audiometry surveillance. Provision of support and medical advice to the other practitioners working in the team, especially in relation to raised case management. Provision of specialist medical advice to any business area or team when requested, including collaborating closely with our outsourced partners to obtain specialised advice when required. This includes advice for Sky News and other business areas with specific needs. Participate in the inhouse training and updates for the clinical team. Participate in and support our Clinical Governance programme and processes, including regular clinical audit to facilitate delivery of a consistent and high-quality service and development and maintenance of our occupational health Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) and guidance documents. Participate in projects and programmes of work, improving our service offering and the wider delivery and development of any health-related activities at Sky. What you'll bring: GMC registered medical practitioner. Qualification in Occupational Medicine. (MFOM, FFOM or AFOM). Established experience of delivering occupational health clinic appointments daily (including management referrals). Ability to take full responsibility for the independent management of OH clinical cases and to deliver complex case management and specialist medical advice to the business. Knowledge of the specific legislation and its application as is relevant to deliver the role. Evidence of participation in continuing medical education/continuing professional development to support ongoing GMC revalidation. Ability to work effectively in a team with clinical and administrative colleagues and others from a wide range of business areas. Experience of managing clinical workload to agreed timelines/Key performance indicators (important metrics). Excellent communication skills with all parties: employees, colleagues, managers, business leaders and senior partners from all areas of the business. IT literacy in common software packages. Team Overview Sky Occupational Health Sky Occupational Health are responsible for the delivery of a clinical service and provision of expert medical advice and mentorship and support to our employees, managers and leaders in the UK and Ireland. The service is delivered using a hybrid model. The inhouse team works with outsourced partners to deliver a wide range of clinical services required for the diverse needs of all the business areas of Sky UK and Sky Ireland. The team is based in clinics in Osterley and Livingston, and we cover the rest of the UK remotely. We work closely with senior management in Sky News and Sky Sports to deliver some of the specific services required for their teams.
