Position Summary
The Sales Account Managaer will report to the Director of Business Operations and works directly with key accounts for the manufacturing of aerospace metal parts at Client, Inc. This position will facilitate all phases of customer service, from the quoting process to account conflict resolution.
The duties performed include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with customers by providing appropriate and timely communication
- Drafts quotes for services and products as requested by existing customers.
- Enters quotes into an established database for future reference.
- Enters the Operation Steps in the ERP System in the proper sequence creating a Router or Job Traveler
- Sends out feasibilities to all relevant departments prior to contract agreement.
- Reviews incoming purchase orders (contracts) for correctness per established procedures.
- Sources, selects, and coordinates outside vendor services, material supply, and order requirements.
- Negotiate resolutions to contractual concerns, including lead time and tolerances, with the customer.
- Participates in Production meetings and communicating any new relevant information to customers.
- Coordinates delivery schedule changes with relevant departments per established procedures.
- Completes Job Changes per established procedures as required.
- Communicates closely with shop floor regarding customer requests made after job acceptance.
- Completes customer surveys, NDA’s, and other customer specified documentation, as required.
- Maintains positive relationships with both customers and vendors.
- Resolves payment issues with customers.
- Attends trade shows and making sales calls as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Strong administrative skills and must be organized, accurate, detail oriented and self-directed.
- Previous sales account management background and/or sales account management training strongly preferred.
- Excellent telephone, written correspondence, and presentation skills required
- Excellent customer service & follow-up with the customer providing accurate, timely information.
- Must be able to partner and clearly communicate with others within the organization
- Experience interfacing hands-on with plant operations and experience building travelers preferred.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
- Previous manufacturing experience required.
- Minimum of three (2) years’ experience in a sales position.
- Strong math skills and the ability to read and interpret mechanical shop drawings and blueprints.
- Intermediate level skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn/use new software.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to use standard office equipment (computer, copy machine, etc.).'
